nothing particular

I never did get to ride with my brother. He pulled nicely. I was pretty impressed, 213 feet. A friend of mine came over today and we listened to the recording. Pretty good stuff. After this I’ll probably settle down into more technical minded things. Be back soon! Comments welcome.

New update on the truck pull

Well. It would appear my brother is going through with it! He’s gonna see how far he can pull the “little red sled”

He called me this morning and I went up and hovered about while he changed the oil. then he tightened up the steering box. Then on top of that, he got on the passenger side, and I got in the driver’s side (Remember i’m a blind fellow), and I drove us down the road. *weeeee!* He did the steering part, of course.
“Give it some gas.”
“Slow down a little.”
“Not that much.”

Supposedly I’m supposed to get to ride in the truck when he pulls. Should be a blass, though we expecting rain. Just so readers know, that weren’t no typo. I talk like that. he was even asking if it’d be possible for me to be the driver when he pulled, him steering of course. No can do, I haven’t got no license. Not yet. Laugh, it was supposed to be funny. I intend to take my olympus ds30 recorder along, use the internal mono microphone, put it on low microphone attenuation. Should get good results, the truck is a little on the loud side though not too bad. I can just shove it into my pocket and enjoy the fun and have the recording to re-live the tragety. I was just saying to someone, You know we’re West Virginians. We ain’t got nuffin better a do an see who can pull a big sled the farthest with our trucks. 🙂

first poast

Wow it’s been a pain in the butt to get this set up but finally?

this is my first entry, I think. Tomorrow should be interesting. Going to sponser my brother, who is going to put his truck in the truck pulls here at our local Fair. Yes I know West virginia’s crammed full of Rednecks and we’s proud of it too.
